me & mary
this video just popped up on vimeo for the song me & mary by asobi seksu from their new album hush.
it’s got crazy good style, and the song definitely lives up to what i’ve come to expect of asobi seksu
from what i’ve heard of the new album, it’s full of great jams, and i’m excited for when it comes out. if you can dig the video, or you like bands like the Raveonettes or Panda Riot, you’ll want to check out asobi seksu

cullen house from twilight

two things i that i am unexplainably but marginally attracted to: twilight, and architectural design.
when the two come together, it’s worth a featured piece on HC.
this is the house that was used in the movie Twilight to shoot the scene at the Cullen’s house. i don’t care how you feel about teen dramas and romance novels. when you see the clean lines of this house and the overall delicious design, you’ll swoon just like all those teenage girls at the thought of Edward Cullen. click on through to the photoset, and enjoy yourself. you don’t have to feel guilty.

metronomy – a thing for me
we all remember the bouncing ball sing-along videos from our childhood. this is probably the most creative use i’ve ever seen.
watch the video and sing along.

poked studio
poked studios is based out of wales, and this is the first i’ve seen of them… but i love love love their set of illustration pieces. they’ve got such great style and talent, there’s a wealth of good work on their site. check them out, and keep checking back, because there’s sure to be more great work to come.

nicholas hughes
i love these hyper-minimalist images from Nicholas Hughes. his images are pure eye candy and completely different than any other photography i’ve ever seen. he does so much with so little, it’s amazing. check out his website to see more images.

easy repair glasses
i’m not sure why, but i just love the way these glasses by Rachel Griffin look.
the concept is that the glasses are made out of tape, so if they get scuffed or broken, they can be repaired with the very same material from which they were constructed. i’m not sure if it’s practical, but i just love the geeky style of them.
i also like Rachel Griffin’s website because of its simplicity. check it out.
